If a vegetative growth is your thing, go for a variety of herbs and vegetables. You can also try among a wide range of flowering plants that will add colour and charm to your indoors. Also, remember to plan out the rest of your gardening ideas according to your plant because the requirements might vary with different types.

Place them right:

Gardening and refreshment are synonymous for many. Hence, give your plants a place to breath. Sunlight and soft blowing wind works wonder for your greens. However,care to save them from strong gushing wind. Strong winds can topple small plants and also affect pollination.

Find the right soil:

Try investing a good amount of time for your soil because having it nutrient-rich and well-drained, is extremely important. The soil to grow your plant must be fine-grained that crumbles easily. A hard one becomes tough to shovel and might restrict your plants breathe. Also, try to eliminate rocks from your soil if you find any.

Nothing is better than to give up synthetic fertilizers and using home-made organic ones, which provide nourishment without any affecting your plants. To name a few, tea compost and vegetable peels adds nutritive value to the soil. You can also try mulching which helps in retaining soil moisture, prevent temperature fluctuations and increase the productivity of the soil.

Try and keep pests away:

Usually, plants are attacked by pests during its initial years or when they are deficit in some nutrient. So, the best away to keep pests away is to keep your green friends healthy. Try using neem-oil to eradicate them. You can also get hold of a recognized, organic pest-control that suits your plant.
